Custom Commissions

Can I request a custom piece?

Yes, I can create a piece specially for you.

Feel free to reach out via email, the form at the bottom of this section, or a direct message on social media to let me know what you’re looking for and whether it’s something I can create.

How long does a custom piece take?

It depends on the type of piece and when you place your request.

Generally, it takes between 4 and 12 weeks. The process includes shaping, drying, the first firing, glazing, and a second firing.

If you have a specific deadline, let me know, and we can see if it’s possible.

Do commissionS require a deposit ?

Yes, I typically request a 50% deposit to initiate a custom piece. The remaining balance is due upon delivery or shipment.

Use and Care

How should I clean and care for the pieces?

You can wash them with warm water and mild soap. While they are dishwasher safe, I recommend handwashing to help preserve them over time. Avoid sudden temperature changes.

Are the pieces safe for food, microwaves, and dishwashers?
Yes, they are microwave and dishwasher safe, though I always suggest handling them with care and, if possible, washing them by hand.

My utilitarian pieces are made with high-fire stoneware (1280 °C), which means the pores are fully sealed and the glaze is fused to the body. This makes them highly durable. The sealed surface prevents microorganism growth, and I use glazes made with sodium and potassium based fluxes, never lead, making them safe for food use.
